Hints & Tips On Tanning Beds
Is your time valuable? Of course it is! If you thought you could achieve more tan in less time, you’d do it, right? Well, you can get darker in less time by following these tanning bed hints and tips.
The rule of thumb on exposure time is, the LOWER the maximum exposure time, the HIGHER the power of the unit. That means if you spend 20 minutes in a 20 minute-max exposure tanning bed, and 10 minutes in a 10 minute-max exposure bed, you have received the SAME amount of rays. Look for beds with lower exposure time to minimize your tanning time. One rule of thumb about using a taning bed is that your objective should be to get the best tan with the minimum exposure to UV rays. If you consider these tips, you will be able to spend less time tanning while at the same time maintaining your level of tan. Also, lotions are important to minimize the amount of time it takes you to reach your desired tan. Start with a lotion labeled “accelerator,” then move through the steps in order, “Step 2, 3, 4” and so on. These are chemically formulated to maximize absorption of rays. Finally, NO ONE should tan more than three times a week. Tanning more often can slow the tanning process.
